Each programme is repeated three times before midnight. The musical blocks last 40 minutes each, and the theatre modules last 20-30 minutes each. This time structure allows you to move from one venue to the next and enjoy various programmes. For your orientation, all Silvestival® venues will be marked with a banner and a rotating light.
Current Information
During the night, keep checking on the Silvestival® Facebook page to get up-to-date programme tips, information and news on the events. To the Silvestival Facebook Fan Page >
Traffic Light – Occupancy of Venues
On our website, www.silvestival.de, on New Year’s Eve, we will mark the various acts on the “Programme” spreadsheet, according to the number of places taken. 10 minutes before each show, you can see how much room there still is: green––lots of room, yellow––a few places left, red––full up, no places left.
Food and Drink
Finger food or a bowl of soup, something warm and spicy at midnight to delight your palate. Many venues will serve non-alcoholic drinks and warm drinks, but also cocktails, beer, wine, and, of course, sparkling wine . More information can be found here.
You want to start the night with a three-course buffet at 7pm?

Weather
The Silvestival® will take place in (almost) all weather conditions. Most venues are indoors and therefore relatively independent of the weather. In the outdoor venues, St Catherine’s, Klarissenplatz and Künstlerhaus/Kulturgarten, the programme will be performed if at all possible. There will be no replacement programme, if programmes in these venues have to be cancelled.
Public Transport with Ticket / More transport available on New Year’s Eve
The ticket entitles you to use the VGN public transport network to get to the festival and back and during the event. The ticket is valid four hours before the start of the event until the close of service (entire public transport network, DB 2nd class in trains free of extra charge).
The VAG will increase its services and take you home safely after the Silvestival®. All underground lines will operate all night, with trains every 10 minutes.
The NightLiner buses will go every 20 minutes, starting at 1.00, 1.20, 1.40, 2.00, 2.20, 2.40, 3.00, 3.20, 3.40 and 4.00 a.m. from the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) going in all directions.
